Warehouses and Industrial (1/2)

Warehouses and industrial buildings are discussed together in my real estate training because they are often located in close proximity to each other. In most cities, the two types of property are zoned the same, as industrial.

Warehouses

Rental warehouses are usually divided into bays or rooms of various sizes. The bays can range in size from under 100 square feet to over several thousand. Often the smaller bays are used for people to store household and personal itemsor as small workshops while the larger bays can be rented to manufacturing facilities or sales outlets. The smaller bays are usually rented to tenants on a month-to-month basis, while larger spaces tend to be leased on a long-term basis. Industrial Buildings

Industrial buildings are usually leased to major industrial companies and normally on a long-term lease basis.
